Under Utah Code Section 75-5-407 the court may appoint an attorney to 
represent the respondent if the respondent does not have an attorney of his/her 
own choice. 

The respondent does not have an attorney of his/her own choice.

an attorney licensed to practice law in Utah, has knowledge of the relevant law 
and procedures, has the skill, thoroughness and preparation reasonably 
necessary for the representation, and is willing to accept the appointment. 

Therefore the court orders that: 

The person named in Paragraph 3 is appointed to represent the respondent. 

The representation shall end upon the final order of this court, unless: 

(a) there are separate proceedings pending before the court; 

(b) the appointed fiduciary elects at the time to maintain the attorney's 

representation of the protected person; 

(c) there is a timely filed appeal of the order; or 

(d) the court orders otherwise.
