A Resolution to Honor the Contributions to Justice and Memory of
Eugene A. “Gene” Vittone II,
Washington County District Attorney
WHEREAS the members of the Advisory Council were greatly saddened by
the August 21, 2021 passing of Eugene Vittone, an esteemed colleague
and dedicated public servant;
WHEREAS Eugene Vittone was a respected member of the Advisory
Council on Elder Justice in the Courts from 2015 to the present day and of
the Elder Law Task Force from 2013 to 2014;
WHEREAS the contributions made by Eugene Vittone to the Advisory
Council on Elder Justice in the Courts and Elder Law Task Force furthered
access to justice for Pennsylvania’s elders;
WHEREAS Eugene Vittone was tireless in his efforts to combat elder
abuse and neglect, the opioid epidemic and domestic violence;
WHEREAS the many accomplishments of Eugene Vittone in elder justice
and law enforcement benefitted the citizens of the Commonwealth;
WHEREAS his generosity of spirit, good nature, compassion and infectious
sense of humor made Eugene Vittone a beloved elder justice colleague;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ADVISORY COUNCIL ON
ELDER JUSTICE IN THE COURTS, that we honor the contributions to
justice and memory of Eugene Vittone on the occasion of his death, and
express our deep and heartfelt condolences to Jane Ann, Michael and
Laura Vittone.
