Mike Piecuch is the District Attorney for Snyder County. He was appointed to that office
in January 2010 and began his third elected term in January 2020. He is the vice president
of the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association and chairs its Education & Training
Committee.
Mike previously served as a prosecutor at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and
the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. His legislative and policy experience includes
service as the executive director of the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association, as
chief of staff to Speaker Dennis M. O’Brien of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives,
as majority chief counsel to the Pennsylvania House Judiciary Committee, and as legal
counsel to the Minority Leader’s Office of the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
Mike lives near Selinsgrove with his wife and three children. Among other community
involvements, he co-founded the Snyder County Coalition for Kids, is the president of the
Summer Seals Day Camp in Selinsgrove, serves as an elder at his church, and coaches
various youth sports.
He received his undergraduate degree in Government and American Studies from Franklin
& Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. He earned his law degree with honors from Albany
Law School in Albany, NY.
