Magisterial District Judge Susan D. Strohmeyer was elected in 2000 and is currently serving 
Morgan Bathgate is a college student at Messiah University studying Psychology. She 
graduated in 2020 from Mechanicsburg Area Senior High where she also played water 
her fourth term at Magisterial District 06-3-03 in Erie County.
polo, swam competitively, played violin, maintained a 4.0 GPA and took six Advanced 
Placement (AP) classes.
Judge Strohmeyer is a graduate of Gannon University’s Leadership Erie Program and attended 
Penn State Behrend for criminal justice.  
She was diagnosed with Autism when she was 3 years old. Morgan likes to remind people 
that she may think differently, learn differently and at times struggle to focus—but she 
She currently serves on the Advisory Board for PFACS, is a member of the Erie County Truancy 
embraces her extraordinary abilities. She is different—but not less.
Task Force, and the Erie County PFA Task Force.  Judge Strohmeyer is Vice President of the 
Erie County MDJ Association, having served as past President, and served on the Education 
Morgan describes herself as family oriented, artsy, techie, bookish, musical and 
adventurous. She loves nature, animals, video games and drawing.
Committee for the Special Court Judges Association of Pennsylvania.  She is active in her 
community and volunteers her time to various groups involving youth.
