and Writing, Domestic Relations, Consumer Protection, Employee Benefits, Litigation 1 and Litigation 2. Since
2019, he has been teaching in the Criminal Justice & Criminology Department at CCAC’s South Campus in the
subjects of Criminal Law, Evidence & Procedure, Forensics, Criminal Investigation and Intro to the Criminal
Justice System. He also taught as an adjunct at Point Park University in their Criminal Justice department in
the subjects of History of Organized Crime, The Constitution and Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Trans-
National Crime.
From 1988 to 1995 he was an instructor at the Allegheny County Police Academy, where he taught Search
and Seizure to the police cadets. From 2003 to 2007 he also instructed the cadets in the subjects of the
Pennsylvania Crimes Code, Jurisdiction and Procedure, Constitutional Law, Civil Procedure and Civil Law. In
2007, Jesse was on the Advisory Board of the Municipal Police Officers’ Education & Training Commission
for Pennsylvania, where he drafted and presented course material and legal updates to instructors whose
responsibility it was to train fellow Police Officers.
Jesse is a member of the state Bars in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia, as well as the Federal District
Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit. He has argued cases before the
Pennsylvania Supreme, Superior and Commonwealth Courts.
In 2016, Mr. Torisky was appointed to Allegheny County Accountability, Conduct and Ethics [ACE] Commission.
