Jennifer L. Rogers has served as Judge, Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas since January 3, 2012.
Morgan Bathgate is a college student at Messiah University studying Psychology. She 
graduated in 2020 from Mechanicsburg Area Senior High where she also played water

Morgan describes herself as family oriented, artsy, techie, bookish, musical and 
adventurous. She loves nature, animals, video games and drawing.

civil litigation, estate planning, personal injury and real estate transactions.  She also served as a part- 
time solicitor for Luzerne County Children & Youth Services from August, 2007 through September, 
2010.

n her role as a family and child welfare court judge, she has developed a Truancy Court, implemented 
a therapy dog program and created a children’s playroom within the family court building.  

he previously served for 9 ½ years as an associate at the law firm of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn, P.C.

udge Rogers received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English/Journalism from the University of 
Delaware.  She received her J.D. from the Widener University School of Law where she was Notes/ 
Comments Editor for the Widener Law Symposium Journal, a member of the Moot Court Honor 
Society and the Student Bar Association. She is a member of the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library 
Association, the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges and the Association of Family and 
Conciliation Courts. 

he is a member of Circle 200, in addition to serving on the advisory board to the McGlynn Learning 
Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council Boy Scouts of America.  She is 
a former member of the advisory boards of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Junior Achievement and the Music 
Box Dinner Playhouse.   She is the immediate past president of the Junior League of Wilkes-Barre.
