Alabama Foreign Language Court Interpreter Program Oral Examination Registration Form 

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: All applicants must have submitted their Foreign Language Interpreter Application 
Registration Packet and passed both the Background and E-verify checks and passed the written exam prior to 
registering to take the Oral Exam.  The Overview of the Oral Examination is found under Foreign Language 
Interpreter Testing Information on our website at www.alacourt.gov.  A Practice Examination Kit may be 
purchased from the National Center for State Courts at www.ncsc.org, or by calling (703) 841-5624.  Questions 
concerning this examination may be directed to the Alabama Administrative Office of Courts by calling (334)

I am requesting to take the Alabama Foreign Language Court Interpreter Oral Exam for the following foreign  
language:  

The cost for the Spanish oral examination is $350.00.    
The cost for all other foreign language oral examinations is $575.00 

The deadline to register is twenty-five (25) days prior to the date you select to attend.  Your 
certified check or money order must be received by this office no later than twenty-five (25) 
days prior to the date you checked on this registration form.

payable to the Alabama Judicial College Education Fund (AJCEF) in the 
amount of the exam you have selected to take.

The first Examination will begin at 9:00 am with additional exams being scheduled on the hour.  The 
exam(s) will be given in the State Law Library Computer Lab of the Heflin-Torbert Judicial Building.  
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your slotted time.
